Enthusiastically praised by parents and professionals around the world, the down-to-earth, respectful approach of Faber and Mazlish makes relationships with children of all ages less stressful and more rewarding.
Wow! What a great book. It gives such realistic advice and the authors really seem to know how a family really works. (Not like some books for parents that present examples that sound like a sitcom with a happy ending!) The only wierd thing about the book is that it’s quite old and some of the examples are dated. But dated or not, the ideas really truly work. The book gives simple, easy to follow advice on what to say and how to say it so that your kids get along better with each other and with you too. If you like the ideas in this book you’ll also like another brand new book called Hidden Messages – What Our Words and Actions are Really Telling Our Children. I’d recommend both of these to any parent of a child from toddlers all the way up to teenagers.
